We don't claim to be Long Island's best Leak Detectors but:
We have 1 question for the other Experts
Will they GUARANTEE To Locate the Leak?
We don't claim to be the #1 Leak Detection Co. for Long Island, however we are 1 of them -
We don't think there are many others on Long Island that guarantee to locate Pool Leaks.
1st step is determining whether a pipe pressure test or if a diver is needed - It's a question of Is the Leak inside the pool or outside in the piping? Once we determine where to start looking for the Leak we can give you an estimate for our Leak Detection Services.
By dye testing suspicious areas of the pool we can determine the source of the Leak
With the Leak identified we proceed with the needed repairs - for your pool.
Whether it's a liner pool that needs a hole patched or sealing Leaking gaskets at stairs, skimmers or main or light Leaks (in a liner or Gunite pool) or minor gunite cracks can be repaired with epoxy, we will STOP the Leak.
Ater the underwater repairs you can monitor the pool for the next 7 days and most importantly we ask that you verify there no additional water loss in the pool. If we missed something inside the pool during our dive, we will be back at no additional cost to you.
We start with a basic pressure test. We don't stop there though: the hard part is finding it & that is what we specialize in. We will find it electronically with some of the best equipment there is. We use superior sound/listening equipment as well as helium detectors to aid in the finding the Leak with precision. Who cares what kind of great equipment we have? It all boils down to what Long Island Companies will offer assurances they will find the Leak or they charge $0? Is there other companies (besides Pool Pro) that will guarantee to locate your Leaks? - not that we know of.

We use electronic microphones and helium detectors to precisely locate under the ground pipe Leaks. Some companies use a scanner (typically the Anderson Leak Trac) to electronically find liner Leaks. We have been there done that. We feel we can do a much better job the old-fashioned way by scuba diving and repairing your liner. We can explain our rationale to you.
Does the Pool's Water Level off when it reaches a certain point?
Did you lose water in the off season/winter Is it obvious that you lose more water with the pump on or off (see below)
We depend on our customers to help determine whether the leak is in the pipes or the interior of the pool, to minimize our charges. If you are not interested in doing the tests, we can go over the whole pool.
Are you losing more water with the pool pump off or on? Run the pool pump for say 8, 12 or 24 hours and compare for the same period of time with the pump off. If you lose more water running the pool pump, that typically means the leak is in the return or Polaris lines. If you lose more water with the pool pump off that generally means the leak is in a suction line - the skimmer or main drain line. If you lose at the same rate it is generally in the interior of the pool - light leak, hole in liner or crack in gunite pool.
Plug the pool lines (be sure to unplug your pool pumps) or just run off the main (if you have one) by shutting off the skimmer valve(s) at the front of pump. Now lets see where your water level goes over the next several days.
